                      Woman Won't Give Approval To Friend's Destructive Affairs

10 years ago, my husband of 20 years left me for a woman 25 years my junior. I was devastated, but all of his friends except one supported him. A month after we were divorced, my ex killed himself, alone and apparently abandoned by his lover). I still believe that the one friend who did not support him was his only true friend. He stood up for what he thought was right and was hurtfully rejected for it. If my husband had listened, he would probably still be alive today. Sometimes, it is not best--for you or for your friend--to do the easy thing and support his wanderings. Sometimes--even at the cost of rejection, it is best to do what is right.
